La logique des transports urbain

Citylogin is spreading in Italy

Following the Sephora project, Citylogin is being implemented in the city centre of Milan. FM Logistic has signed a new contract with the Carrefour group, leading European distributor, for the delivery of dry goods to Carrefour Express stores located in the heart of the capital of Lombardy, in a Limited Traffic Zone. Organised in partnership with Italian transporter Mag.di, vehicles (Fuso Canter hybrids) will make three rounds per day.

The company is also increasing its distribution services for Sephora. Following Rome and Milan, the city centre of Turin will soon benefit from hybrid vehicles for deliveries to stores in the selective perfumery chain.

From Madrid to Bilbao, the Spanish example

FM Logistic has also been operating in Madrid since the end of 2016, in collaboration with transporter Ontime Logística Integral and a fleet of 14 electric, hybrid and GNV vans, for home and business deliveries. Goods are loaded at a hub 14km outside the capital for city-centre deliveries, notably for Lidl.

FM Logistic recently received subsidies from the European Union to test an electric tri-temperature vehicle with a capacity of 10 to 12 pallets and adapted to urban delivery.

Further north in Bilbao, following a series of conclusive tests, a new semi-trailer equipped with trailer axles adapted to city driving, is being used for delivery to Lidl stores.

Further East, luxury goods and pharmacy

FM Logistic has been present in Russia since 1994 and has been developing Citylogin in the heart of Moscow since the beginning of 2017 for leading luxury brands. Goods are picked up in France and taken to Roissy airport where they take off for the Russian capital. From there, they are taken to one of the logistic provider’s platforms for storage. Distribution is managed by Iveco GNV vans specially equipped for luxury goods distribution (double security doors, reinforced windows, alarm, permanent GPS tracking…).

In Poland, where the Group set up base in 1995 with its FM Health branch, FM Logistic is currently testing the distribution of pharmaceutical products in the historical centre of Warsaw ; with an electric Nissan e-NV200 van specially designed for transporting sensitive products.

Citylogin is coming to Paris!

FM Logistic is involved in many urban distribution projects. Following a call for projects issued in 2016 by Paris City Hall in association with Paris&Co, FM Logistic, in collaboration with Sogaris, presented an innovating delivery project for fresh products, from a logistics base located outside the capital.

On 6 January this year, true to its commitment in terms of sustainable development, the company also signed the Sustainable Urban Logistics charter (LUD), created by Paris City Hall, whose objective is to reconcile economic activity with healthy living conditions, within a modern logistics system.

Furthermore, a site adapted to the Citylogin solution located in south-east Paris will be operational very soon!

When asked about this dynamic development, Grégoire Lapillonne, project manager at FM Logistic explains: « Increasing flows and tighter restrictions in urban centres is leading to a reshaping of urban distribution plans. For our group, Citylogin allows us to complete our transport services pertinently. For our customers and prospects, it means an effective distribution plan in urban centres where traffic restrictions are to become the norm ».
